Alyssia Matter
Co-Founder & Co-Chairwoman
Alyssia is from Zurich and oversees femella’s operations, events, and initiatives. She is currently completing her MSc in Medicine and holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the University of Zurich (UZH). Alyssia is passionate about women in science and joined the Swiss army as a medical officer. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling and spending time with family and friends.
Antonia Schmidt
Co-Founder & Co-Head of Partnership
Antonia is from Zurich and is in charge of femella’s connect events. She is currently pursuing her MA in Law and holds a BLaw from UZH. Besides studying, Antonia works part-time as a Gen-Z Advisor for EyeFitU and was previously a working student at the law practice Prager Dreifuss AG. In her free time, she likes to run or go out with friends.
Anna Somm
Co-Founder & Co-Chairwoman
Anna is from Zurich and co-chairs femella global with Alyssia. Her focus lies on Business Development, Strategy, Communications, and Marketing. Currently, Anna is undertaking an internship at the Swiss Embassy in Singapore and she previously interned at IWC Schaffhausen and Oliver Wyman. With a Bachelor's in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), she's set to begin her Master's in September. Outside work, Anna loves to stay active and travel the world.
Annabelle Hug
Co-Head of Expansion & Product Development
Annabelle is from Zurich and is in charge of femella’s grow events. As part of her BLaw at UZH she is currently undertaking an exchange semester in Copenhagen. Besides her studies, Annabelle works as a Legal Assistant at epartners Rechtsanwälte. In her free time, she likes to do pilates, travel, and is always on the lookout for new restaurants, bars, or coffee places.
Carmen Christian
Co-Head of Expansion & Product Development
Carmen is from Berne and is responsible for organizing femella’s events. Currently, she works as a Corporate Events & Marketing Intern at the Zurich Film Festival. Carmen holds a BA in Business Administration from HSG and spent an exchange semester in Brazil. She likes to travel, surf, and ski in her spare time.
Flavia Gericke
Co-Head of Partnerships
Flavia is from Zurich and is in charge of building and maintaining femella’s partnerships. She is currently doing her MS in Medicine at UZH and holds a BSc in Human Medicine from ETH Zurich. Next to her engagement with femella, Flavia is the Head of Marketing at the Health Science Club in Zurich. In her spare time, she likes to go to the gym or watch TV shows with her cat.
Michèle Steiger
Head of Legal
Michèle is from Zurich and is responsible for femella’s marketing campaigns. She is currently pursuing her BLaw at UZH and previously completed a high school exchange year in Texas. Besides her studies, Michèle works as an assistant at Fankhauser Rechtsanwälte and volunteers at the European Youth Parliament. In her free time, she likes to go for drinks with friends, bike rides, lake swims and has a flair for fluff books and series.
Jil Pettenhofer
Head of Communication
Jil is from Lucerne and is responsible for femella’s communication. She studied Communication, Media Research and Art History at UZH. Her deep fascination with creativity and communication led her to work for a contemporary art gallery in visual communication and PR. She is now working for Jung von Matt, the most creative agency in Switzerland. Jil balances agency life with strolling through galleries, coffee catch-ups at concept stores, water sports, and loves to explore the world.
Stephanie Bichsel
Head of Finance
Stephanie is from Berne and holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from HSG. After working at Credit Suisse, where she developed a keen interest in finance and entrepreneurship, she's now pursuing a Master's in Development Management at the London School of Economics. Outside of work and study, Stephanie enjoys running, exploring the outdoors, catching up with friends over coffee, and listening to rock music from the 80s and 90s.
