Meet our London Board - The Women of Tomorrow

Liv Wiemann - (she/her)

Co-Chairwoman

Liv is of Danish, German and Swiss nationality, and has been living in London for the past five years. She co-chairs femella London with Annabel, while also pursuing a PhD in Computational Neuroscience at Imperial College London. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from University College London and a Master’s degree in Translational Neuroscience from Imperial College London. When she’s not delving into the intricacies of our brains, she loves to go for a run or travel to new places.

Annabel Geene - (she/her)

Co-Chairwoman

Annabel is a Co-Chairwoman of femella London. She is of Swiss and Dutch nationality and grew up in Switzerland. Growing up, Annabel competed as an alpine ski racer on the Swiss regional team before moving to London for her BA in History, which she pursued at University College London. After her bachelor’s degree, Annabel pursued an MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History at the University of Cambridge, where she specialised in feminist thought. Annabel has now started her career at Sotheby’s as a Corporate Associate.

Lucy Achhorner - (she/her)

Head of Legal

Lucy has an Australian and Swiss background and is femella London’s Head of Legal and Head of Event Coordination. She completed her Bachelor of Philosophy and History of Art at University College London before joining Sotheby’s EMEA Commercial Legal department. Lucy’s history of working on committees started in the youth sphere in the context of climate activism and educational art programmes, and she has held various committee positions. In her free time, she travels widely and is part of an 11-a-side football team.

Sofia is from Milan but has been living in London for the last 5 years. She is femella London’s Head of Connect Events. She is currently completing her MSc in Environmental Technology at Imperial College London and focuses on Environmental Resource Management, specifically reforestation and sustainable agriculture. In her free time, she loves to travel and do all the sports that she can’t do in London: surfing, snowboarding, and hiking.

Sofia Eleonora Rayneri - (she/her)

Lina Abraham - (she/her)

Head of Learn Events

Lina, originally from Germany, has been living abroad in France and the US for the past year. She is responsible for organising femella London’s Learn events. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology, as well as an Intermediate State Exam in Law from the University of Heidelberg. Currently, she is pursuing an MSc in Comparative Politics and Conflict Studies at LSE, focusing on gender-based violence. Lina has work experience in peacemaking diplomacy at the UN and European public policy. She is a dedicated runner and loves to go backpacking whenever possible.

Heidi Makhlouf - (she/her)

Head of Grow Events

Heidi holds Lebanese and American nationality. She moved to London after two years of medical school at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic to pursue a career that fulfilled her desire to be at the edge of technology and innovation in the service of others. She got her degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from Yale University. As a scientist and film enthusiast, she is always trying to dissect people's perspectives and learn about their world through their eyes. In her free time, she loves lifting weights and enjoys the burn! Her Lebanese and Syrian heritage means that there is always something delicious to gather over when in her home. 

Livia Eugenia Kostka - (she/her)

Head of Communications

Livia is from Milan but has been living in London for the past six years. She is femella London’s Head of Communications and is currently completing her MSc in Environmental Technology with a focus on Business and Environment at Imperial College London. In her free time, Livia enjoys running and when she gets the chance, she loves travelling home to Italy to spend some time sailing.

Marilena Csonth - (she/her)

Head of Marketing

Marilena has German and Hungarian roots and grew up in Germany. She has been living in London since September and is now femella London’s Head of Marketing. Marilena is in her fourth year of studying medicine, with plans to pursue a career in either women’s health or paediatrics. Currently, she is broadening her horizons beyond medicine by participating in the General Course at the London School of Economics. As part of this program, she is taking courses in Marketing, Organisational Behavior and Leadership, and Health and Social Care Policy.When she isn’t busy studying, Marilena enjoys dancing ballet, doing pilates, spending quality time with family and friends, and taking coffee walks while exploring the city.

Cecilia Parra Garcia - (she/her)

Head of Community

Cecilia is from Spain and has been living in the UK for the past 6 years. A scientist by background, holding a BSc in Biochemistry and an MPhil in Developmental Biology, she now works in the pharmaceutical industry and is interested in the intersection between healthcare research and industry, aiming to bring scientific innovations to the market. She is a strong advocate for women’s health and for female leadership empowerment, having led various initiatives in the space during her studies and corporate life. Cecilia likes putting on her problem solving and creative hat to find innovative solutions. Rooted in her Spanish heritage, she loves working in places where she feels a sense of community and shared purpose. In her free time, you will likely find her at the yoga studio, reading a historical novel or gathering her friends around a dinner table packed with homemade food.

Simone is from Switzerland and oversees femella London’s financial matters. She holds a BSc in International Management and an MSc in Finance from Bayes Business School. Her interests lie deeply in the financial industry and she currently works for an Investment Manager in London and is keen to contribute to the female investment landscape. Before joining femella, she researched the gender gap in entrepreneurship. When she is not busy working, she enjoys exploring London’s neighbourhoods, running, and spending time with friends.

Head of Finance

Moana Seif - (she/her)

Head of Partnerships

Moana is from Switzerland and is responsible for creating and maintaining femella London’s partnerships. She is currently working at Switzerland Tourism in the business travel sector. She holds a BSc in International Management from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) and an MSc in International Affairs from Lingnan University Hong Kong. She has lived in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Greece and loves travelling and getting to know foreign cultures and cuisines.

Margarida is the Subscription Marketing Manager at Nespresso, where she plays a pivotal role in driving marketing strategies across the UK and Ireland. Holding an MSc in Marketing Creative Advertising, she brings extensive experience in Digital Marketing and CRM, with a strong focus on product and brand marketing that aligns with Nespresso's vision of creating exceptional coffee moments.

Originally from Lisbon, Margarida is a dynamic and passionate marketer, fluent in four languages, which enhances her communication skills and ability to connect with diverse audiences. She is deeply committed to Femella's mission of empowering women and fostering connections among like-minded individuals, while also promoting opportunities for personal growth and development.
